Rurutu, rich in its legends and stories, invites you to visit its Marae, the most important of which is that of Atorani, as well as its royal tombs.
From July to October, Rurutu is the cradle of humpback whales which come to breed in its clear waters. A magical moment of free diving to share with these mammals that are as impressive as they are harmless.
Self-guided hikes take you through the main village of Moerai to the rocky promontories and cliffs of the village of Hauti. Various historical and natural sites can be visited during walks, making each stay in Rurutu a truly mystical journey.
