Nestled in the heights of Hiva Oa, Les Chalets de Hanakee offer an idyllic setting with breathtaking views of Tahauku Bay and majestic Mount Temetiu. Since January 2025, Tehina, daughter of owners Serge and Renée LECORDIER, has been welcoming you with all the warmth and authenticity of Marquesan hospitality.
The guesthouse features six independent chalets, fully equipped and designed to provide privacy and well-being, each with its own kitchen. The chalets can accommodate up to five guests, making them perfect for couples, families, or friends looking for a memorable stay.
To make your experience truly unforgettable, the guesthouse offers as a 3-night package, including a breakfast kit, transfers, and two full-day excursions to discover the cultural and natural treasures of Hiva Oa.

Breakfast Pack included in the Package rate: sliced bread, eggs, fruit juice, butter, jam, ground coffee, chocolate and tea bags at disposal in bungalow at time of check-in and for the whole duration of your stay.

No lunch or dinner on spot, all units are equipped with a kitchenette including a water filtering device. You'll be able to do your shopping at the village's grocery on the way from the airport to the guesthouse.
Free transfers also available on request to have dinner at a restaurant/guesthouse at the village.

Activities

Package includes 2 full day tours :
- Departure around 08h00 for a full day tour to the Village of Puamau.
Stop by several impressive view points up to the small village to discover its impressive tikis including the "Smiling Tiki".
Lunch on the beach to savor Marquesan specialties and have a swim or unwind on the beach.
Return to the guesthouse around 17h00.

- Departure around 8h30 to visit the village of Atuona including stop at the cimetery where French painter Paul Gauguin and Belgian singer Jacques Brel are buried. Visit the Paul Gauguin cultural center (entrance fee at extra charge, to the paid on spot) and stop by other main places of the village.
Lunch at a restaurant downtown or food truck according to your choice (at extra charge to be paid on site).
Then leave to Taaoa, a small and authentic village featuring a beautiful catholic chapel, the oldest of the island.
Stop at the Upeke archaelogical site, the most extensive in French Polynesia.
Return to the guesthouse around 15h00.
