The attractions are varied on this enchanting island: swimming in its clear, turquoise waters, walking on the reef, picnic on the Motu and tour of the island by boat. Visiting archaeological sites, such as the Marae Pua Pua Tiare, still retains all the mystery of ancient times, particularly with its stones placed vertically and “the” stone which resonates when struck.
It is also possible to do self-guided or guided hikes, including the one that leads to Mount Hiro, at an altitude of 438 meters, or to the crossing road through flower and tree-lined paths. So many experiences to enjoy to discover this sweet island that is Raivavae.
