The Moehau Relais is a small family hotel standing at the entrance of Atuona village, 5 minute-drive from the graves of Paul Gauguin and Jacques Brel. It features 7 bedrooms, upstairs a common building. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot water, a TV and a ceiling fan. Each one features the air conditioning option to be paid on location. A large terrace offers a beautiful view on the Temetiu mount, Traiters'bay and Hanakee rock. On the ground floor, the restaurant displays local and international dishes, tasty and plentiful to guests and residents of Hiva Oa. Do not miss the wood fired pizzas, the only ones of the island!

Activities

The black sandy beach of Atuona is located opposite Relai Moehau. It is accessible by foot in 5 minutes. But be aware that it is not guarded.
Gauguin and Brel museums, their graves can be visited on foot (about 10 minutes to get there).
Shops and snacks are also nearby.

Relay Moehau does not offer tour but will help and advise you if needed to organize one.
