Nestled in the hills above Taiohae, the main village of Nuku Hiva, Pension Mave Mai offers a peaceful setting with panoramic views of the bay. Founded in 1999 by Jean-Claude and Régina TATA, the guesthouse has been managed by their daughter Kuanui since August 2024.
The guesthouse features 12 air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, including garden-level rooms and balcony rooms, as well as a new extension called TATAMAI below the main building.
Guests can enjoy a half-board stay with meals made from local products, served with a stunning view of the ocean.
The guesthouse organizes 4WD, boat, and quad excursions, offering a deep dive into the Marquesan landscapes. Car rentals are also available.
